Independance Day 2011

Our 4th of July was a busy one. First thing in the morning we headed out to the West Jordan parade. The sky's were over cast and it wasn't too hot out. Sadly because we didn't get there early we didn't get a curb side spot so we had to work for our candy with a lot of persuading candy throwers to throw our way!! It was great fun!

We then met up with KT's family to go hike to Doughnut Falls. It was a very quick hike and the water had washed out the trail by the falls so we went as far as the trail would let us go and then turned around. It was fun to walk and talk with my sister.
After our hike we headed home for a few hours and then went over to my friend Heather's house for a BBQ and fireworks.
The kids enjoying pop its
Our Favorite pyrotechnic for the night who wowed us with all the sparkling lightsShortly afterward, Aaron took Aubrey home and we stayed for the city firework show that is just a block of way from Heather's house. We set up chairs on their lawn and they started shortly after 10 pm.
Once the city firework show started the kids were already done. They could have cared less about them. We tried to get them to sit still enough to watch but it was a short battle and we just ignored kids and enjoyed the fireworks. It was a long day but very fun.
