Kaylie's Baptism

There was lots of excitement in the air yesterday morning as Kaylie got ready to go up to the church to be baptised. Aaron, Kaylie and I went a little early so they could get dressed into their white clothes.
The Baptism started at 10:00 am on Oct 10th, 2009. There was a lot of family able to come out to support her decision. Both sets of Grandparents, and three sets of Aunt's and Uncles. We were happy they all could make it. The program started off with talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost (given by me!) Then we went to the font. Three Kids were going to be baptised and Kaylie got to be the first. It was wonderful to see! The little cousins all gathered right up by the edge of the font to get a good look. Kaylie told me she didn't even plug her nose and then said later after it was done she felt "happy and glad." After getting dressed she was able to sneak back in and see the last little boy get baptized. That made her happy too.
We then went down to a different room where Kaylie was given the gift of the Holy Ghost and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her Dad. She was able to have all her uncles and grandpa's help with that too. It was a sweet simple program and after- wards we got pictures and went back to the house for lunch.

Everyone who was able to come

Kaylie with her Grandparents

Kaylie with Aaron and I

I'm just so grateful for all of Heavenly Father's Blessings. For his help in raising righteous children and I hope Aaron and I can continue to help our children know God and gain testimonies of their own so that we can be an eternal family.
