Busy

This past week has been a whirl wind of activity. Our stake chose to do Youth Conference (YC) in Feb. instead of in the summer to try to cut down the business of the summer months. So instead of going out of town we had a 4 night YC. Our theme this year in the Youth is Be Strong and of good Courage. Our first night was skits and presentations of different aspects of courage. Courage to be healthy, pure, modest etc. Our ward had courage to be consistent. We did a skit of a morning in a teenagers life but portrayed it in the 70's, 80's. the present and the future. It went well. The youth did awesome. Wednesday night we had the 1st councilor in the Oquirrh Mtn. Temple presidency and his wife come talk to us in a fireside setting. Friday we got to Karaoke and eat pizza and play games. I got up there with some young women and leaders and we sang our hearts out to Momma Mia. :) Saturday we rotated through a bunch of different workshops.It was fun..and I'm glad it's done. :) I enjoyed the testimony of those in our ward. Not having a whole lot of youth there, we were able to hear from all of them with a little bit of nudging.
I'm enjoying my calling but it is definitely keeping me busy. Coming up we have New Beginnings and a combined etiquette dinner for all the youth. I'll be glad when we get through those!
