Today was fast Sunday and with Kaylie turning eight not to long ago we have been trying to help her understand the principle of the fast and why we do it. She really struggles with the not eating breakfast and today was no exception. She and her dad made the commitment to fast together this month and so she tried. There was still a lot of "I'm soooo hungry!!" in there and "I think I might starve to death!" But I tried to help her take her mind off food with a hot shower and computer games helped to distract.
I'm happy to report she made it through church and was very ready for cereal and a sandwich when we got home. She ate till she was stuffed!! I admire her for trying and getting through her fast. It was a big accomplishment.
That is awesome, tell Kaylie that I am righteously proud of her and her efforts. It is not easy!
