As is tradition on Memorial and Labor day, we try to get out and hike as a family. It is always fun. This year we found ourselves up Mill Creek canyon all the way to the very end to hike up to Dog Lake. The trail was steep (as we chose the shorter route but the harder trail) but once we made it to the top it was nice to enjoy the serenity of the lake. The kids, as always, are super troopers, forging their way up the mountain with stinging nettle on either side of the path to hinder them (thankfully we didn't have any incidences with that stuff!!). Garrett walk 90 % of the time too and I had Aubrey in a carrier. It worked out well. So great to get out and be surrounded by nature. :)
