Utah Arts Festival

Saturday Aaron wanted to go check out the Utah Art Festival that was going on in downtown SLC. We packed up the kids and headed downtown. They had the best kids area ever with so many different things to do and see.
Here are the kids resting in the shade
There was "the art yard" Had so many different crafts for the kids to do. They made wands with fabric, birds nests, butterflies, and summerhays music's booth was a instrument petting zoo where the kids were able to try any instrument they wanted. They all liked the violins a lot. Ean liked the trumpet and cello too. Kaylie tried the flute but had no luck with the trumpet. It was a great introduction to a lot of different instruments.

Garrett came back again and again to this little violin. He loved it!
Decorating ears for the "Ear wall"
They had this area where the kids put together colored cellophane and attached pipecleaner and beads to make these pretties that were beautiful in the sunlight.

taking a break to eat some cinnamon almonds.

Along one stretch of the event were these puppeteers on stilts who looked like they were riding animals. They were amazing and came up to both Ean and Aubrey and played for a few seconds.

It was a lot of fun to go to and see all the art and dance and cool stuff. I'm glad we went!

  1. That looks like a lot of fun! I would love for my kdis to get a chance to try all kinds of instruments.
